About your host "Capt Mike" Brady
Who is Capt Mike:
Capt Mike is a Coast Guard Licensed Charter Boat Captain with over twenty years' experience.
Durning that time he has owned and operated numerous sailing vessels. With over two decades experience as a professional Mariner plus 50 years as a sailor/ liveaboard/adventurer he has experienced much of the sailing world living on boats on all sizes and description with many a nautical yarn to share. An avid world traveler he holds a BA in Geography from Boston University an is 1975 alumni of World Campus Afloat (now Semester at Sea). This was when, as a student aboard The USS Universe steaming through the West Indies, Capt Mike decided to start a charter business and become a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain. Today, many trips round the sun later, Capt Mike has lived year-round his sailing vessels operating his charter business throughout Southern New England waters from home ports such as Newport, much of Narragansett Bay, Block Island, Providence and Boston.
What makes Capt Mike tick and motivates him to run his own business:
A product of the counterculture of the 1960s & 70's, Capt Mike is a self-defined "Maverick".
Ever the entrepreneur, for over 30 years Capt Mike produced dozens of Whole Health Expos, Environmental and Multicultural Regional Events, Music Festivals and Bridal Expos, throughout the Northeast. (For more on that see past expos).

A "people person" Capt Mike is passionate about introducing and sharing his love of the sea and sailing with anyone interested. If you would like, ask Capt Mike about his time on the French Riveria or steaming on a riverboat going down the Mekong River in Loas.
